It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It was the 90s. And we would all sit down every primetime evening and hear the tale of a lovable, irksome, nerdy yet ultimately misunderstood black teenager living in a Chicago suburb. He wormed his way into our collective hearts with such soul-melting phrases as “Did I do that?” and….damn. Didn’t Urkel ever say anything else? Well, if Urkel wasn’t your scene, maybe you spent your days at the Central Perk coffee shop, when for all intents and purposes you SHOULD have been at work. I mean, for god’s sake, you live in a ridiculous top floor warehouse sized apartment on the upper West side of NYC… get a job you bum! But don’t worry, you’ll always have friends like Chandler, Rachel, the nerdy one, the ugly one, the lesbian, and Lisa Kudrow. Wow did her career ever take off.
