Why do we tell kids stories? To teach those little brats a lesson usually. Or, in Hollywood's case, to shut him up real good. A little whiskey slipped into his apple juice and he is out for the night. Then Mommy had to work the night shift at the club. But she was a true artist, not some cheap b-squad act. She had a future. And then the little kid comes along and steals those dreams pretty quick. So that's why we tell kids scary children's stories.
